i HAVE BEEN UNDERMINED BY SOMEONE ERASING ALL OF MY WORK. My blog, "nine-one-one truth" and the articles are gone. Only the profile/blog remain. Obviously someone did not want you to read responsible truth. Iam trying re-post or solve it.Best Wishes, FWL
AMERICA’S CLARION CALL
“Through life’s broad field of battle
In the bivouac called life.
Be not like dumb driven cattle,
Be a hero (heroine) in the strife!” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote that in my favorite poem, THE PSALM OF LIFE. Also:
“I’ve clinched and closed with the naked north,
I’ve learned to defy and defend.
Shoulder to shoulder we’ve fought it out,
Yet it’s the wild that must win in the end!” Robert W. Service wrote that verse.
I chose the above for the hook because I identify with their purpose. I have seen enough to know the 911 Report is a sham, not worthy even of the comparison to the 26 volumes which the WARREN REPORT was based on. I do not feel like the little girl who screams out in the EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES, “But he’s naked mom!” And Chicken Little has got nothing on me. Not withstanding the Mayan Calendar and its 2012, 5200 year old prediction of calamity. If a nobody like me on his last legs, so to speak, can view documentation that utterly refutes and defeats this huge lie, made by traitors and treasonous cowards, to prevail for their own ends, then damn it, so can you smart people with your streak of lightning cars and fancy clothes who care only about acquisition, notoriety and consumption. You do nothing for the country which has given to you the most special of all birthrights in our recorded history (herstory?). While you’re enjoying your games and well groomed gods and show, the world as we know it, is being destroyed by your acquiescence. Does that make you feel good or are you among the bunch who say, I can’t/won’t make a difference? There’s no draft yet, like Vietnam, for the privileged to bitch about in serving in harms’ way. There will be, if this off the chain administration manipulates the war(s) effectively. They want a conflict with IRAN. No diplomacy, quote, unquote, just Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition! I’ve already made the case for their bellicose positioning in 411. Saudi Arabia has made clear, if the U. S. unilaterally pulls out of Iraq. They will support the Sunni faction. Iraq will have Iran come at them from the east and Syria from the west and we will have to re-enter the battle theater. The Saudis are no match for grade A battle and the powers that be will find it unacceptable to let events get put of control, as the Bible’s geographical Armegeddon!
Being a “JOHN DOE” or an unknown, I choose to quote rather than use my own words whenever possible, particularly for factual information. I am passionate about our experiment with true democracy even being representative rather than participatory. Failure, I ferverently believe is not an option but doom for humanity. “God, whose law it is that he who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget, falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despite, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.” “Life for him was an adventure, perilous in deed, but men are not made for safe havens. And, at the worst, there is that in us which can turn defeat into victory”.

The Greek Way, by Edith Hamilton. Knowledge is a burden, some to welcome, others to shy from. In America, we have shunned it far too long as I write of what I know to be carved in stone, I ask you to at least consider what I present. The body of matters I put forth have been kept still for too long by the powers that be. Woodrow Wilson, the 19th President of our Beloved United States who presided over World War I and tried to form the League of Nations said, “Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men’s views provided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the U.S., in the field of commerce and manufacturing, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”(!) This coming from a most respected decent President, definitively illustrates how Byzantine our American reality is.
Besides reading the Congressional Record (May 14,1975, Extension of Remarks, page E2442) I referenced in the middle article, 411 on 911, where the Warren Commission discusses white washing the Investigation and using J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald scapegoat version, I give you two other points to consider in the alternative. The Commission, to avoid admitting conspiracy, because of the Zapruder film and ignoring the inconvenience of 51 witnesses in Dealy Plaza claiming more than one shooter and three shots, ascertained there had to have been only three shots fired by one rifle. One shot (at least) hit President Kennedy in the head. One shot missed the car and hit the pavement with part of the shattered bullet wounding a witness named James Tague. That left one shot to inflict seven non fatal wounds on the President and Governor Connally. The President had a back wound in the area of third thoracic vertebrae. He had a wound in his throat described by all three attending Physicians at Parkland Hospital as a sucking entrance wound. The Governor had a back wound, a chest wound, a hole in both sides of his right wrist and a thigh wound. The Commission had NO investigators (why should they since they were confined to the Bureau’s lone gunman solution?) Again, refer to the Congressional Record entry of Wednesday May 14, 1975, page E2442 of Extended remarks from January 22, 1964 in Executive Session, where they specifically and conclusively enunciate NOT conducting any investigation and rubber stamping the Bureau’s version. They did though, have counselors who were charged with doing the work to try and make its finding fit this scenario. Here’s their version of the single bullet theory (direct from the pages of the 26 volumes of evidence, documents and testimony upon which the WARREN COMMISSION REPORT was based). This infamous single pristine bullet was labeled Commission Exhibit #399. After the ambush, in Dealy Plaza, the Presidential car with JFK and Governor Connally was rushed to Parkland Memorial Hospital. After bringing both men into the trauma area, a gurney was sent up to the second floor on an elevator as the emergency room floor entrance was really the basement and the second floor had the front entrance (bi-level). An aide named Daryl C. Tomlinson removed a stretcher from the elevator (allegedly Governor Connally’s) and pushed it down the hall up against the wall and in doing so hit another gurney. The impact caused a bullet lodged under the mattress from this gurney, to fall to the floor. He gave it to an FBI Agent who passed it to another. There was no chain of possession used,

but a bullet did wind up in Washington D.C. purportedly as one and the same. In a Freedom of Information suit in Federal District Court in our Nation’s Capitol, initiated by Harold Weisberg, the most respected and astute author/investigator of The Warren Report, represented Pro Bono by James Lesar, had an FBI Agent testify about how scientific testing was accomplished to show this bullet (CE399), to the exclusion of all others, was responsible for the 7 (seven) non fatal wounds (including the hole through Governor Connally’s radial bone in his right wrist). He testified he used a pen knife to dig some metal out of the base of CE399, otherwise unbent and pristine, to preserve it for ballistics testing for Spectroscopy and Neutron Activation Analysis tests. I must interject that in this very suit, the FBI reluctantly admitted Harold Weisberg was more familiar with the WARREN COMMISSION’S 26 volumes and its contents, than any of their employees. It bears repeating, with pictures to verify, there are no other marks on #399 or lead missing. Post operative X-rays of Governor Connally, revealed more lead left just in the radial portion of his wrist than actually taken from the now, so called “Magic Bullet”! Being questioned under oath before the Commission, Mr. Tomlinson (the hospital attendant who found the “planted” bullet), was repeatedly brow beat with the question of whether he was sure CE #399 fell out of the existing gurney and not the one from the elevator. He finally ended this line of questioning by saying, “…if I told you wrong, I couldn’t sleep at night (!)”. If this patriotic conscientious decency and integrity of Mr. Tomlinson had been an influence on the seven member Warren Commission, we would have had the truth told about the murder of an American President on an open street in Dallas, virtually changing our national history for the better, not the worse. The perpetrators and collaborators would have been tried and convicted of treason and we would all be better as the beneficiaries of living proof that our system of government performed as it should, in a time of one our of gravest periods of national tragedy. Instead, the Commission relied on a crazy impossible theory which defies physics, insulted our national collective intelligence and held it together with the acquiescence of the media (both television and the printed press). Who do you ask was the counsel member who devised this absurd theory? Why none other than the Senator of Pennsylvania since 1980, ARLEN SPECTER! Yes, a United States Senator was a major force in the cover up conspiracy. What would the good citizens of William Penn’s Woods think or do, if this knowledge became widely known?
My second point is when Abraham Zapruder realized he had filmed this horror, he immediately had two copies made and set a time early in the evening alerting the media to view a screening of it with his attorney. (And of course, bid on a exclusive copy) A Dallas TV News affiliate of CBS, sent a reporter to view the film. He, then in a frantic rush to his studio to scoop all other media, demanded a live slot to relate the contents of what he saw on the Zapruder film. The nut of relating what he said he witnessed on the murder film was him emphatically saying the head shot to President Kennedy drove his head forward, consistent with the proposed lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald sixth story window theory of the School Book Depository Building, behind the motorcade. In all probability, this journalist (?) was told the film would never be viewed by the public. Mr. Zapruder gave two copies to the Secret Service that evening. With in three days time, Life Magazine, a subsidiary of Time/Life Inc., owned by Henry Luce Booth, purchased the original and ALL rights to it for a total of $150,000 to be made in six equal payments.
-4-
(A real stdeal for Time/Life considering the incredible signifigance and that the pile is worth $916,000 in 2006 dollars. Mr. Zapruder, to his credit, donated the first payment to the family of a slain Dallas Police Officer, one J. D. Tippitt, who was alleged killed by a fleeing Oswald, which in turn led a trail to where he was apprehended in a Dallas movie theater. Life showed some select “frames” from the film on November 29th 1963 and some more the next week on December 7th in a Memorial Issue. Time/Life refused to publicly screen the film, “…out respect for the Kennedy family…”. Life Magazine’s still frames of the film did show President Kennedy’s head pitching backward with NO forward motion period. This “co-operative” reporter was soon promoted to being a national correspondent and when asked the awkward question of his Dallas disparity with reality, answered by saying he was, “… in a hurry and made a ‘mistake’ in speaking to a live audience. This same reporter, in reward for his collusion, grew in stature at CBS. When in 1966-67, the New Orleans District Attorney tried to prosecute several people as assassination conspirators, gaining national attention, this reporter produced and hosted several shows with glaring “disinformation” of admissions and corrections, for damage control. With this CBS debunking, it made responsible efforts to have the Warren Commission’s conclusions reviewed by open sessions of Congress less possible. The two shows came up with even more outrageous explanations supportive of the Official Solution than one could imagine. In March of 1975, a man named Geraldo Rivera, hosting a show called Good Night America, showed the Zapruder Film to America for the first time ever. It caused a furor and ignited a new collective effort to have the truth told. It was at this juncture I called Mr. Weisberg and asked him to come and speak at the University of Maryland, where I attended as a Veteran, as I have related previously. The Student Union Theater was filled with an overflow crowd interested in gaining some truth in the matter. One result was a petition signing for Congress to hold open hearings on just the original inquiry, with subpoena power and penalties for perjury or subornation there of, which of course, led to the entry in to the Congressional Record of the damning Warren Commission Document. In their own words of complicity, they agreed to cover it up with a non-investigation of the facts. Again, read it in the Congressional Record of Wednesday May 14, 1975 in the Extension of Remarks (E2442) from the Honorable Gladys Noon Spellman, 5th District of Maryland). National polls have consistently showed 80% of the American people have never believed the Warren Commission finding of the lone gunman and no conspiracy conclusion. As a participant in the effort to have the truth told and being considered very knowledgeable in this field, I’ve forever been asked why was it covered up and how could it be kept so secret from the public for so long? The only answer I have is, we have allowed it. Now, who was this infamous reporter who fabricated his rendition of viewing the Zapruder film, you may ask? Clue. He later became anchor for the CBS Evening News for many years! Why, none other than Walter Cronkite’s successor, DAN RATHER. Imagine that! The gap is huge between truth and falsehood in our country and it is a travesty of the worst kind, like a bad joke gone vicious. Many lives have been lost and/or destroyed in their attempt at getting close to full public disclosure. As Richard Nixon would say, “If it’s a secret, then it’s LEGAL!”. I will comment on the film. Technology has advanced to the degree one can make subtle or dramatic changes on a picture or a film. It takes very close scrutiny to differentiate such alteration. The flip side to this is the same technology has been applied

to genuine copies of the Zapruder film and show several almost instantaneous head movements consistent with more than one bullet splitting his skull asunder with definitely one shot coming from the right front on a near level trajectory. This state of the art ability also shows glaring disparity in President Kennedy and Governor Connally’s movement reacting to the so called first shot, magic bullet theory. People ask, show me some new evidence. My friend Harold would always employ the rejoinder, “What’s wrong with the old evidence?”. And where does this leave us some 44 years later with the question, isn’t this ancient history. No, because the same players who perpetrated the murder and influenced the ongoing cover up and their proteges, are still influencing national and foreign policy as we speak. So many of the people who basked in the glow of JFK’s light, ran for cover as November 22, 1963’s events unfolded. For instance, Benjamin Bradlee, a Washington Post Editor who had unlimited access to JFK’s White House (read pool parties and assundry partying), took advantage of a living President and wrote many a story with deep background from his alleged friendship and position. Yet, as Executive Editor from 1965 to 1991, he continually maintained his and the “integral” Washington Post’s paper’s position, was that the Warren Commission findings were correct. Maybe some bio on Ben would help connect a dot or two. Mr. Bradlee is a distinguished member of the highly prominent Boston Brahmins. He was in Army Intelligence during WWll in the Pacific Theater and afterward, became a Washington Post reporter. He became friends with Philip Graham who had married Katherine Meyer, sister of the owner of the paper and thus into the Post family. When Eugene Meyer became the first President of the World Bank, Graham stepped up. In 1951, Bradlee became assistant press attache’ to the American Embassy in Paris where he helped get running an intelligence funded program called Office of U.S. Information and Education (USIE) designed to promote U.S. policy abroad and at home. This program evolved into “Operation Mockingbird” and openly as Voice Of America, which mutated into a network of systematic attempts to influence and/or control the American Media. In 1953, The Washington Post bought CBS News with another friendly, William S. Paley becoming its President. Remember, CBS led the way in disinvestigative documentaries designed to discredit real and responsible research contrary to the Warren Commission findings! Philip Graham had his high and low spots, allegedly suffering depression and severe alcoholism. He was the main catalyst in convincing JFK to have LBJ run as his V.P. in the 1960 Presidential Election, even though JFK despised the Texas Senate Majority Leader and all he stood for. In the early ‘60’s, Philip Graham had a series of questionable activities, including an embarrassing affair and unexplainable public appearances. Mrs. Graham had him committed and in August of 1963, Mr. Graham took his own life. Back to Ben Bradlee, who enjoyed a close and personal relationship with Katherine Graham, even though he was well into his second marriage.( I must interject here that during the ‘50’s and through this marriage to Antoinette, he became acquainted with Richard Bissell and James Jesus Angleton, two key players in developing the CIA as enacted in the 1947 National Security Act. Scuttlebutt has it that the recent 2006 film, THE GOOD SHEPHERD with Matt Damon starring as one Edward Williams, was developed as a composite of these gentlemen). In less than two years, he was named managing editor at the POST. There is some irony that he was finally pulled up at the ripe age of 50 something by an aspiring young blond party hostess and gossip

columnist some 20 years his junior. He kept her at the Post and after their 1978 marriage, they became the ultimate dinner hosts for D.C.’s hoi poloi and foreign dignitaries. It bears remarking when Hilary became First Lady in 1993, she politely refused her initial Ben/Sally dinner invitation and thus precipitated Sally’s venomous journalistic attacks. I had an appointment with Mr. Bradlee in the spring of 1976, in my position of the JFK effort, to try and gain some objective ink. Not knowing then what has come to light, it was obviously futile. Irony had me sharing an elevator with Ms. Quinn and her second. It serves no purpose relating what I heard as she had no idea who I was. I waited nearly an hour before being told with regrets, scheduling prohibited my meet with Mr. Bradlee. All subsequent correspondence attempts from me and others interested in some dialogue, to one who should have been able to make some difference (and in good conscience) were continually rebuffed. I continue to be astounded that the Official version of such a flagrant and open act of treason and coup d’etat has been allowed to remain unchallenged by our best and brightest. I am a no body and since an accident prevented any relevant work, I write. Don’t confuse a paragraph here or there with some small time Don Quixote tilting at wind mills. My crusade for change has long since been…. I have no real hope that what this everyman writes, will ever receive appropriate attention. It won’t because those who could influence real democratic change, continually refuse to do so. 911 and 12/21/12 are more of the same. I was born in the Capitol of the country which should be Earth’s best and greatest hope for example and be the guarantor of Earth’s human continuity. We have not earned this privilege from Mother Earth and the great Creator. I still want to believe, but it is hard to, when no one but the likes of a nobody like myself, makes the effort for truth to reign and flourish. What say you???
“Those in power write the history. Those who suffer, write the songs.” Old Irish saying.
“Treason never prospers. What’s the reason? When it prospers, none dare call it treason!” Sir John Harrington. If the legend becomes fact, print the legend!
What makes me both mad and sad at once, is the lies we were told in our education system while growing up. My teachers should have ridden with Jesse James as much time as they stole from me with unrealities like, Manifest Destiny, Wounded Knee, The Great Wars (surprises at Pearl Harbor), this UFO deal, the lies surrounding JFK, RFK and MLK’s killings, the Vietnam War (domino theory), the lies about abandoning NASA and manned space exploration. And now 911, which I discussed in the middle article, 411 ON 911. For those of you who read this without having done subsequent and substantive research, you might think I’m some kind of nut myself. Well, I do too some days, as in ignorance is bliss. Unfortunately I have either lived or done respectable reference work (or both) on these issues and before you judge me too adversely, do some real reading please. What I’m leading into is, we are in grave danger of losing our stature as the only real super power on Earth. We have lost most other countries respect since January 20th, 2001. We are more vulnerable than ever to being undermined and overwhelmed by a combined effort of third world countries and their terrorist tactics, which would so please China and Russia, thus further destabilizing what’s left of real order and responsible authority and oh yeah, DEMOCRACY. The factor which is allowing our vulnerability and decline to happen is Americans are so fed up with our Government and the lying (we’re not collectively as stupid as some would like to believe) that we just don’t seem to care. The absence of hope will create this atmosphere every time. And it still appears as if

the Bush Administration is hell bent on a strategic nuclear strike against Iran, using as an excuse, their potential nuclear capability. To wit, for bona fides, I just finished reading a very compelling book on Israel, Iran and the United States and their secret alliance(s) dating back to WWll. Such an attack would certainly lead to an Armegeddon scenario. Since the 911 tragedies, Bush, Cheney et.al. have surreptitiously limited our Bill of Rights (the first ten Amendments to our beloved Constitution) which was added almost immediately after its forming, being suggested by Thomas Jefferson, John Adams etc… to guarantee our civil rights. Another famous founding Father, Ben Franklin commented that…”One who is willing to sacrifice liberty for security is bound to receive neither.”
Believe it or not, Americans want to be told the truth, they want to have a voice in the dialogue and process and are so tired of having their vote wasted on elected liars and their particular nefarious scandals/ill deeds. Some candidates or public servants who were actually trying to bring virtue, honesty and decency back into the public trust had their efforts either compromised or were assassinated. The Media suffered similarly. I can comprehend this successful interference in the 1960’s, when the printed press and radio were the predominant means of news dissemination. Electronic media was just coming of age and America was still more rural rather than cosmopolitan. But not now, when we have modern technology, investigative journalism, instant communication and the internet, which all have served to educate the populace. But the fact is, most people don’t grasp the concept that 911 was chosen mockingly as the date, as those with influence still refer to this infamous day as “nine eleven”. Come on people, it is “911”00208 and it is easy to see without looking too far, that to those dedicated wrong who perpetrated this huge act of treason and commensurate lies, do not hold much as sacred. I have to add a very provocative thought here. In our Constitution and its Amendments, there exists NO, I repeat NO contingency for replacing our “elected” or “appointed” Federal Government Officials, should, GOD forbid, Washington suffers a now very technologically possible, massive tragedy. Say The President and/or Vice President were to survive, there are no Constitutional rules or procedures, for either, to replace such a loss. We would go under marshal law and for how long and and and…. you fill in the blanks. I wrote an article on this back in1981. I’ve spoken to people about this grievous omission, yet no remedy has been accomplished. Why is that? I will say in our universe there are no accidents. We are now more vulnerable than ever, by both the real terrorists or by those on the inside who allowed (orchestrated?) nine-one-one. I dare not delineate scenarios I’ve come across in my reading for fear of giving America’s (my still beloved country) enemies any idea not previously contemplated. I stand to say we still may face yet another worse event to enable the provocation of even more nefarious plans. God forbid, yet as long as the 911 fairy tale prevails, the gate is open. Hell, the Democrats are again self destructing over the disenfranchisement of Florida and Michigan primary voters from some disingenuous rule about voting time tables in January and their infighting they still want to leave Iraq a blood letting massacre. It’s no longer a question of how Congress voted approval for Bush’s deception. It is incumbent for the United States to stabilize this fiasco and it doesn’t take the wisdom of Solomon. I discussed this in 411 On 911, or review Senator Joseph Bidens’ strategy, who by the way was never given a chance by the media in his Presidential Election bid. The most qualified experienced candidate who continually, for some six terms, has done his homework
-8-
Yet the powers that be prevented the most viable, equal time and exposure. I don’t believe there exists a candidate who better understands Victor Hugo’s LES MISERABLES quote, “There is always more misery among the lower classes than there is humanity in the higher.” better than Joe. Save maybe Jesus, Ghandi, JFK or RFK or MLK or or…you tell me. Kennedy wasn’t killed for being a bad President. He just wanted to move the world toward peace and was quickly learning how. I must enter the fact that many of the above mentioned antagonists, to include CBS’ William Paley, were inducted as students, into the highly secret Yale University society called SKULL AND BONES. It is a far reaching, life long affiliation that has a world wide network and immense connections which decide humanities’ direction and events governing the desired outcomes. Both President Bush #41 and #43 share a highly diverse membership with such others as Senator John Kerry etc…! How they and other affiliated secret sects like the Masons, Illuminatti and the Bilderburger Group, arrive at a consensus of opinion, is not for us common folk to know. Astoundingly, Masonic and Illuminatti symbols and icons have been found in ancient Mayan writings and hieroglyphs.
When one looks at history (ourstory), it is evident there was always going to be an America since ancient peoples grouped together and formed social pacts to cooperate for survival and progress. But unfortunately envy and greed also created societies who would rather conquer and make other peoples subserviant, to increase their power and position with their hard earned riches, knowledge, resources, labor and prestige. War is merely just armed robbery on a grand scale. There have been societies that were at one and peace with our beloved planet, but they yield mere footnotes to conquerors and colonialism. This concept brought cultural exchange a different, than intended, meaning. It also stifled human effort the open freedom to advance in a humanely, sophisticated and cooperative meaningful effort. The legendary ATLANTIS, an island separate from the maine, was purported just such attributes. Most of this information and knowledge was lost when the Library of Alexandria was pillaged, burned and destroyed. Plato had visited and studied some of the scrolls and artifacts preserved from the then, antiquity and passed them on to his student, Aristotle and others, the reality of a lost Atlantis and some astonishing tales of its technology and formidable position. He gave a date of some 9,000 B.C. as its zenith (all of this is subject to intense scrutiny and skepticism, even the linking of Mayan history to connections on Egyptian hieroglyphs). One version of the Library’s demise, is a sect pillaged the Library for its secrets and covered the covert theft by fire and vandalism for mythindirection. Then they have kept this knowledge and used it surreptitiously, over the ages, as they came to grasp and understand purpose and control. Much of this is just logical speculation, but its worth examining because of a confluence of unasked or unanswered questions apparent. The nonunderstood Illuminatti is a suspect.
As I have always theorized, there was always bound to be an AMERICA. A democratic experiment allowed to progress to such a level of influence and power as we have since our inception. People, from time immemorial have yearned for a social compact that would create a climate unencumbered by marauding greed of those who would pillage for gain. We have so desired a place where freedoms of thought, speech, assembly and honest deed, not only be allowed, but encouraged. A place where law, not men (people) determined human fate and balanced with equality. This type of environment would
-9-
encourage creativity and design, for good purposes. A utopia which made the free exchange of ideas and the exploration of the sciences uninhibited, in order to gain a technology to benefit all. A geographic region hard to reach by greed and envy. We’ve so longed for a society to share with and help humankind all over the planet. A place where one could start with nothing but hard work and have that work yield success as yet before unfathomable, from such equation. This experiment, if successful, would serve to guarantee the continuity of the human race as our legacy. It did begin to happen with a piece of paper which said, “…. WE HOLD THESE TRUTHS TO BE SELF EVIDENT, THAT ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL…” and another piece written after a long and bloody fight, saying, “IN ORDER TO CREATE A MORE PERFECT UNION…” Our United States Constitution and its First Ten Amendments now known as our BILL OF RIGHTS. This was the conception which grew into what we still reference as the American Dream. Next to Ellis Island, where millions of immigrants landed to enter our country in New York, France gifted us (with whose assistance in our Revolution was essential) with a Statue we call Liberty. They built it and we positioned it fittingly at the port of immigrant entrance. It was the first image these “refugees” saw from sea, as they completed their arduous and jeopardy filled journey to freedom. “Keep your ancient lands, your storied pomp! Cries she with silent lips. Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores. Send these, the homeless, tempest tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door.” EMMA LAZARUS wrote this, in part, in her patriotic poem, THE NEW COLOSSUS.
Unfortunately, in the 1800’s, the first real American Century, demonstrate the premise of democracy and capitalism’s ideals, but the enemy grows from within. Slavery nearly tears the country apart spared only by the grace and stalwartness of President Abraham Lincoln. Then the Captain’s of Industry take inhumane advantage of cheap, lower class labor, including children. All the while, their wealth and power begin to influence our foreign policy toward raping other countries of their natural resources through the ruse of Colonialism, from rubber and banana’s to oil, taking without giving. A century of this, by the 1960’s, created “THE UGLY AMERICAN” abroad. Hell, it wasn’t until 1920 did women gain the right to vote. The misunderstanding of the Russian Revolution created a post WWl paranoia that made these men of wealth, fear the rise of collective bargaining and trade unions here, as the harbinger of a real worker’s revolt, which was never a realistic possibility, even with the Great Depression from Wall Street malfeasance. Only with the Second World War and organized labor, did America actually realize a viable working middle class. Our economy became dualistic in nature, with the Cold War needing an ever expanding Military, Industrial and Intelligence Complex as one end and consumerism, buoyed by the advertising goods and services built less than substantial, so replacement with new improved products, would be a necessity. It is termed planned obsolescence. Materialism and drugs have come to dominate our keeping up with the Jones’s standard, all the while automation and the out sourcing of jobs and contracts have insidiously begun to destroy our economic infrastructure. The exploration of space of an international joint venture, would have been a truly financial boon for all, not to mention
an extremely worthwhile effort. Again, I addressed this concept in my first two articles. For reasons unexplained or lame, we ended the last two Apollo Moon Missions and cut
-10-
NASA’s budget without any JFK type encouragement to continue doing what was possible, like colonize the moon and visit Mars. Imagine what we may have learned. Or…imagine what is being learned on the QT! Anything is possible. “The great enemy of truth, is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest….but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic”. JFK
My primary occupations have been heavy construction and being a mailman. My step mom got me up early on a cold Saturday in October of 1967 (high school grad year and Vietnam draft zenith) to take the then Civil Service Exam. I told her I had forgotten the test and had partied till 4 A.M. and was in no shape…interruption by her with…”if you don’t get up and take that test and pass it to be mailman, you’ll never eat supper in my house again! I’m sending your father collect and deliver you.” I just mumbled something about her not playing fair and thus started my on/off career as a Letter Carrier, which I loved. When I started back in Florida in 1987, between some brutal interruptions, the USPS was becoming a “business, not a SERVICE, to my utter consternation. In 1999, with my young’uns raised and my wife #3 out the door, I had to resign for health per my Doctor’s strong concern. This is a whole other book. Suffice it to say, by the spring of 2000, I lost my $60,000 house. In the next few years, the housing market was sent spiraling upwards on a false economy intended to persuade owners to re-finance their homes in an unrealistic proportion (pay off your credit cards, by a boat, RV etc…) so much the middle class became spend crazy beyond their means. Then, as easily seen, my old 60k house, re-valued at 250k, realistically de-valued down to, say 120k, still high. In the past three years America has seen an incredible amount of loan defaults and foreclosures. Wall Street, in their infinite omniscient wisdom, devised a plan to partially incorporate many of these bank loans into securities to keep them afloat. One of the oldest (1923) most prestigious brokerage and banking houses is Bear Stearns which ignominiously almost went belly up this year due to loss from the mortgage fiasco. Not to give one a Civics 101 lesson, but our capitalistic system has a defining French term called “laissez-faire”, literally translating to let alone. Our government is supposed to remain free of regulating business. The concept is another ruse we were taught. On March 16, 2008, the Federal Reserve (no you won’t find it or the Internal Revenue Service in our Constitution) approved a partial merger with JP MORGAN CHASE pending a stock holder vote and a $30 Billion loan to support the mortgage deficit and keep this integral(?) stalwart of Wall Street heritage. For years (see the film BOILER ROOM) off street brokers have been cold calling the middle class and with the most self assured faux pas voice, entice them into taking their savings, 401 K or even borrowed money, to invest in “Rising Star” stock. They drop a prominent name, like WARREN BUFFET or the likes, as their source and coerce, cajole or browbeat with an intensity and religious fervor, that make door to door vacuum cleaner salesmen look like beggars. These people could sell ice cubes to Eskimo’s. They pump until the well is dry all the while becoming rich off of someone else’s hard earned nest egg. Oh yeah, the government bailout is historical for the wealthy and connected. But what of the little guy whose shoulders have carried our country to numero uno with their blood, sweat and tears? Well this time, BUSH #43
has initiated a “stimulus package” of $300 per tax payer due out in May. Mine is due
on the 4th of July. Bush says Americans will quickly spend this money circulating it back into our economy, thus boosting (a rising tide lifts all boats!) it. Of course Congress does
-11-
not have the guts to say where this money will come from, since BUSH#43 squandered an inherited Federal Budget surplus of billions and turned it into a deficit of unknown trillions. Meanwhile, with oil over $100 a barrel, inflation is causing the biggest recession since the real Depression. There is no answer or resolution in sight, save a black male and a white woman cutting each other’s throats in a nomination fight which refuses to focus on the real issues and unselfishly form a Democratic lock on the Executive and Legislative Branches come November with our global future at stake. May I cautiously remind you the last time Bush gave America a tax rebate was in August of 2001, only weeks before 911! Aw gee Maw. Hey, I can’t see over the horizon, but….but I do know Katrina victims are still without and New Orleans has been selectively rebuilt. Have I gone 360 degrees yet?
In retrospect, I usually try and inject some humor in my writing but I’ve suddenly noticed that these some 12 pages are stone cold fact (or maybe bullshit to you) and devoid of any humor. Then on reflection I says, Hell I’ve been giving specific detail in refuting some of America’s biggest cornerstone precepts. How many of you reading here are saying this guy is a fantastic hoax. I wonder how much of his mash could he regurgitate without the benefit of a crib sheet? Good point. Or maybe he‘s just a certifiable kook! And that’s when I start laughing, because I have yet to touch on UFO’s and the prevariable “the end of the world is coming”. The crib sheet? Ha. Unfortunately, I’ve got this down by rote! The Dickens you say. I say, “Listen to “DESOLATION ROW” by Bobby Dylan.
Oh yeah,…ascension, declination and precession. Many have tried and some rather successfully, to predict the future and specific events to come. Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce are two, who as of late, have experienced an eerily recognized accuracy. In my younger day’s sporadic reading, I accidentally came across the following:
LOCKSLEY HALL…ALFRED LORD TENNYSON
For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens filled with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight, dropping down with costly bales:
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rained a ghastly dew
From the nations’ airy navies grappling in the central blue;
For along the world-wide whisper of the south-wind rushing warm,
With the standards of the peoples plunging thro’ the thunder storm;
Till the war-drum throbb’d no longer, and the battle-flags were furl’d
In the Parliament of man, the Federation of the world.
There the common sense of most shall hold a fretful realm in awe,
And the kindly earth shall slumber, lapt in universal law.
Naïve and uncultured, I was swept away by this to me, a singularly awesome 1886 description of the Twentieth Century. It does have a hope full tinge, but it comes from the middle of a rather long stanza’d poem. While researching what I’ve been writing, I came
across a more ominous feature of impending gloom. I rarely read fiction as I am a sucker for footnotes, but I came across THE GENESIS CODE. It is written a’la Michael Crichton combining known science and fact with a plot. It led me to read APOCOLYPSE
-12-
2012, by Lawrence Joseph, the definitive book (in my opinion) on the Mayan long count calendar, created in August of 3114 B. C. and ends on December 21, 2012. It is 5200 years in length, divided by four parts with the fifth being the end count which just happens to be our Winter Solstice. The kicker is every 26,200 years our sun comes into a position, via precession, which for one full day with shadows on each side, virtually blocks earth’s view of the center of the Milky Way, our galaxy! The center of course, is a large black hole which emanates all sorts of energy, known and unknown. A consensus of serious respectable researchers believe a shift of the North and South Poles, will occur, which would cause incredible upheaval on the tectonic plates (continents) and life as we know would cease. Archeologists have documented several such phenomena occurring previously with such results, one is speculated to have helped end the ice age circa 10,000 something B.C. Other discussions with Mayan shamans still holed up in caves near the Teotihuacan area all the way to the Mayan peninsula, since their own exact prediction of the Spanish invasion and raping of their culture, indicate they believe a new era of consciousness will occur. With their calendar warning them of the impending tragedy, they took their scrolls (they refer to them as codicils of calendar predictions). The arrogant Catholic Church controlled these expeditionary legions and destroyed all found documents interpreted as myth and dogma and rewrote the Mayan history as Christian. Supposedly, only seven codices survived or have been read, with five still sequestered and unshared. Perhaps all have been read and interpreted as disastrous, by the real powers that be and have been making secretive surreptitious plans to prepare for certain scenarios of 12/21/12. For instance, we know of two mountains with well protected cavernous areas carved out, storing every seed and grain known to man. Both of the two I have read of are inside the Arctic Circle and being touted as storing flora and fauna seed for rejuvenating the earth’s eco system incase of a planetary disaster like a comet incursion. Bill Gates’ Humanitarian Foundation, formed in conjunction with Warren Buffet last year, is a major financial backer of this and maybe other coinciding projects. Deep in the Ural Mountains of Russia, they have been carving out a huge ultra secret underground complex (city?) as large as the area inside the Washington D.C. Beltway. It appears the powers that be (for lack of a label of this secret conglomerate for now, how about GROUP X?), Group X has known much of this information for years and have excluded many of the earth’s best and brightest. How long have they known (years or centuries?) and what do they know? I know that they don’t have as much information and knowledge as they could because they have excluded the equation of Convergence of Capabilities which simply put, the more people to have access to a problem, the greater opportunity there exists to find a successful resolution. This arrogance and ignorance preclude reason and leave too much to chance. Chance favors the prepared, but we are facing an unknown that is a given; that being the fate of human life (perhaps all known life) on our big beautiful blue planet. I would venture to say, especially to those who really believe they know of the forces afoot on 12/21/12, do not know all. This is why the proliferation of what some do know, should be made available
to all of humanity. This knowledge is so significantly important, it could mean preventing or mitigating what may occur. Inclusion of the facts to the world and particularly to
those who have historically been predicting this date and event, is a non negotiable imperative if we are to have a snowball’s chance in Hell!! I raised my kids on the concept
-13-
that if you think long enough and hard enough about a problem, you can find at least one acceptable solution. I must add one more looming feature to what I’ve read. Astronomers have long wondered why our sector of the MILKY WAY is 90 degrees off kilter, to its swirl. The accepted reason is we are part of a dwarf galaxy being absorbed by it. We are due to have our solar system change its course by gravitational pull. When, is still speculative. Consequences? I refuse to delve into. I can not help but think that BUSH#43’ sustained denial of Global Warming or Climate Change is predicated upon GROUP X’ knowledge and preparation of 12/21/12. For example, if you are directing all of your attention and energy toward what you believe will sustain a chosen few to survive such a catastrophic array of possible disaster(s), why spend precious time, material and energy on speculative and diminutive events which are trumped by this probable imminent cataclysm? It would certainly explain this Presidency’s bold and illegal misuse of power and funds (deficit spending) and international bellicose intervention for perceived, strategic position. In this (scenario) consideration, we are all acutely gaining in the realm of logical speculation.
As for this Alien (UFO) controversy, the phenomena is older than the Bible. I must yield as I have no religion per se, but a very strong faith. I believe (because I choose to…free will) in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and all things are possible through him. Of all the ancient documents like Plato or The Iliad or The Tibetan Book of the Dead etc…from Greek and Latin to Aramaic, there exist at least 24,000 translated manuscripts of the BIBLE. The concurrence of exact literal translations is about 99.5%. This figure of agreement is staggering. The Roman EMPORER, Constantine convened a meeting of Clerics, known as the Council of Nicea in the summer of 325 A.D. to consolidate a Christian Church. Among the decisions made in the Nicene Code was that this Emperor would declare Christianity as being the Catholic Church with its unified leader to be the “POPE”. Among Jesus’ twelve Apostles, he designated (Simon) Peter (as in Petra or Rock) to lead, after the fulfillment of the prophesy. This Council virtually eliminated persecution and martyrdom of the Religion. One of the results of the Council was to prepare a written historical version of the religion in what we call the BIBLE. The first six chapters are taken directly from the TORAH. These clergy discussed and decided what other books or information it would contain. Many codicils were omitted due to a perceived confliction with their message. A number of Bishops and Priests were killed due to their adamant adverse position(s) thus continuing the bloodshed which Jesus spoke against so adamantly. From Genesis forward, one can read uncanny references to stories easily interpreted with extra-terrestrial involvement. Consider this in the light of over whelming concurrence of literal interpretation in translation to English and other modern languages.
The main reason disseminated by both believers and debunkers of the UFO Alien question is, if the government were to admit knowledge of UFO’s existence, the concept would destroy religion. I say, utter nonsense, where is there a conflict? “We seek a free
flow of information….we are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies and competitive values. For a nation to that is
afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market, is a nation (government) that is afraid of its people”. Believe it or not, the quote is from JFK during

his abbreviated term as United States President. It has a very on point yet eerie inference, does it not? Should we read between the lines?
As far back as cave dwellings there are sketches of definitely perceptible unearthly people and flying craft that have continued up to today in familiarity of sightings. All cultures and societies have oral and written history of this imagery. Even association and abduction. You may start with our BIBLE. One can speculate they all got together and have played one long running joke on posterity which perpetuated itself. Or, you can admit there are dots to connect and the GROUP X crowd keeps telling us yet another tooth fairy tale like we are little children going, “Really?”. To challenge the BS, we are called fools and many who had the guts and fact(s) to expose their hypocrisy have had their lives destroyed or worse. This punitive debunking can only mean the phenomena is much more serious than speculation. Think Ann Coulter on a cosmic scale. In the geographic area we have (Biblical reference notwithstanding) labeled “the cradle of civilization”, which is now partially lower Iraq, held the earliest known civilization. It was called SUMERIA. It flourished around 4,000 B.C. and left behind scrolls and codices, most in well preserved containers. They began to be discovered some 200 years ago. The language was a combination of hieroglyphic and letter. A linguist named ZECHARIA SITCHIN who began the task of deciphering their stories from the mundane information (marriage, birth, death, taxes etc…) to fantastic stories of several alien life types who helped genetically DNA breed and hybrid with them to result in who we are now. There are several purposes alluded to, but according to his well respected translations, these beings gave the Sumer knowledge and power. They were referred to as Gods from above. They told of a huge 10th planet they called NIBURU, with an elliptical orbit of about 3600 years, which occasionally came close to earth. NASA has since confirmed another large object, as yet not located, outside Pluto’s path. There still exist many documents yet un-interpreted. At 84 years old Mr. Sitchin has written THE EARTH CHRONICLES’ books since 1976 and is considered the Dean, being a widely respected scholar and his work has so far stood the test of time, seemingly immune to debunking. There really is too much info to include here. Suffice it to say, this is yet another historical gag or we possess world shaking news and more dots to connect. From all continents and cultures there exist tales of UFO’s and strange beings making their presence known ever since then and the stories all bear similar or exact presentation. In the summer of 1952, for some three nights, strange lights buzzed our Capitol of Washington D.C., lighting up radar screens and were chased by our finest jets, to no avail. What the hell was that all about? Phoenix Arizona had a huge lighted object pass directly over it several nights back in 1997 for hundreds of thousands to view. Most of you know a lot of the more incredible stories, from the crash in July of 1947 of an alien object and its probable recovery and subsequent immense Government denial to personal contact and abduction to….Yet we are continually kept in the dark and told nutty excuses. All of this seems to be associated, yet I refuse to speculate what I can’t substantiate.
On September 21st 1987, President Ronald Reagan addressed the 42nd General Assembly of the United Nations. In his address he re-inserted a statement that had been edited out
-15-
which said, “In our obsession with the antagonism of the moment, we forget how much unites all the members of humanity. Perhaps we need some outside universal threat
to make us recognize this common bond. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world (!)” He repeated virtually the same message in a speech in 1988 to then Soviet Premier, Mikhail Gorbachev. Pretty heady remark from the Great Communicator don’t you think? One Lt. Colonel Arthur Trudeau during the Battle of Pork Chop Hill, an essential and bloody fight in the Korean War, threw off his Helmet with General’s stars, picked up a Sergeant’s helmet and with only his pistol, rallied his vastly out gunned troops by yelling “I’m taking this hill. Who’ll come with me? Needless to say this heroic unselfish act turned the tide. This same man became a General in Army Intelligence and had been associated with the Roswell alien vehicle crash from the beginning. If you’ve read or watched the Discovery or History Channel, you would know initially, we claimed to actually have recovered a UFO and its occupants. Within a day, denial was stringently implemented and disinformation was robust. Obviously, protection of civilization’s most important find (save the real cross and validation of the shroud!) because the USSR and Red China utilize espionage to sequester data for the bomb and other technology, rather than hassle with R&D for years, to perfect such. I am for openness in our government and a participatory democracy, but to quote Winston Churchill in WWll, in regard to having cracked the German ENIGMA Code, “ In war time the Truth must be accompanied with a body guard of lies”. This acquisition must be kept secret at any and all costs, at least until we reverse engineered the equipment and abilities and mastered it for our National Defense. General Trudeau picked a nondescript Lt. Colonel named Phillip Corso (a man so innocuous, he was under the radar so to speak). Corso had seen debris from the crash site in transit and knew we were sequestering the find for study to several secret locations, like Wright Patterson Air Force Base and soon an area designated “51” for testing flight craft. He served under General MacArthur in the Korean War for Intelligence. General Trudeau recommended Ike use him as a security counsel. Later he was posted right under Trudeau at the Pentagon in a branch called Foreign Technology for Research and Development (foreign, surreptitiously meaning earthly like Russian, the perfect ruse). Lt. Colonel Corso wrote a book of his involvement and an overview of the benefits in 1998. It’s called, ROSWELL; THE DAY AFTER. In his position at the Pentagon, Trudeau had given him several file cabinets and boxes to glean understanding. He also served as Liaison to Senator Strom Thurmond, the ranking member of Defense Committee and with this relationship of trust, would find government contractors who might be working on something similar to any one of the gadgets or data he held secluded. Corso would utilize a familiar contact at that company with a visit and say here, see what you can make of this and apprise me. They would reverse engineer the object and develop a working facsimile. The Senator wanted know only just enough on need and funds would become available. After years of secret practical application for National Security, the item or concept would be commercialized and the contractor would realize a fortune from sale and stock. The Senator from South Carolina wrote a superiorly favorable introduction in the book, labeling Mr. Corso as a true American
patriot for his work. Remarkably, the day after publishing, Sen. Thurmond held a press conference retracting his remarks. Obviously, someone felt lending his name to the book
-16-
would validate it, which they didn’t want. Simple logic tells you this move only enhanced the viability and integrity of Corso’s effort. According to Corso, the following technology
was achieved from this process; the integrated circuit chips, fiber optics, night vision
equipment, super-tenacity fibers (such as Law Enforcement life saving equipment, Kevlar plastic armor, lasers, psychotronic devices (headbands)that can translate human thoughts into signals to control machinery, particle beams (read SDI and Ronald Reagan) and Stealth Technology. And speculatory…space craft similar to what was recovered. Corso felt this work put us on a semi-equal plain as the aliens or EBE’s as the government refers to the beings who fly these craft. I know this is a lot to fathom but the dots are now revealing a pattern which explains much of our experience since 1947.
After my dear Mother passed when I was nine years old, my father moved me to College Park, Maryland to stay with his Mother. (I have always proclaimed I had the world’s two best Grandmothers) To deal with my grief and pain, I discovered my interest in our Solar System and beyond. In the best example of cathartic functionalism, (I coined that phrase, thank you) I buried myself in every book the city library and then the county one had on astronomy and the new kid on the block, astrophysics. Heck, I even read science fiction. At the time, the arrogant elitist scientific community held there could be no other life in the Universe, much less planets around other suns. We were a fluke, creationism or accident. I marveled at this dogma as a kid. Even I could tell you this was sooo wrong. Back then, I still had not become acquainted with the UFO phenom or close encounters etc...This reminds me of the joke about a young Bible Belt lady just out of college, applying for a teaching job with the local Board of Education. The lead question was, “Miss Smith, do you teach Intelligent Design or natural selection?” Her reply was, “Oh, I can teach either!” And away we go! Myself, I can’t understand how even this Big Bang Theory could have happened without GOD. Up until just recently, the Catholic Church would not hear any type of evidence we were not alone. Then poof, this May 2008, out of nowhere, the Vatican’s Chief Astronomer, one Reverend Jose Gabriel Funes stated in an interview, “….the vastness of the Universe means it is possible there could be other forms of (intelligent?) life outside earth. How can we rule out that life may have developed elsewhere? Just as we consider earthly creatures as a ‘brother’ and ‘sister’, why should we not talk about an ‘extraterrestrial brother’? It would still be part of creation”.”….it doesn’t contradict our faith…Ruling out the existence of aliens would be like ‘putting limits’ on God’s creative freedom.” The good Reverend even acknowledged the Big Bang etc…Am I loopy or are they just now trying to jump onto the train? Years ago, this would have been heresy and mean ex-communication and earlier, death! I can see the headlines now. Pope vies for first contact amongst other self anointed important people! Yeah, Let’s ride, take a saucer whirl around our good ole Milky Way, Brother, er Sister, er, er oh yeah Mr. ET! You can’t make up this kinda stuff, you just can’t. The dots are connecting and as for me, I know God put me here for amusement.
“I returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill, but time and chance happeneth to them all.” ECCLESIASTES”.
In 1975, I was not a Bible reader, but my Grandmother’s had gotten me in Sunday School
-17-
and Church in my youth. One day I asked my friend and mentor, Harold Weisberg what his favorite Chapter was and he replied, “ECCLESIASTES”. I went home and opened the Bible Mom and Dad had given me at Christmas 1955, age of 6. There was that passage with my Mother’s penciled parenthesis around it hitting me like a message from the grave. In 2001, with 911 upon us, I turned to it for comfort. It was then my hair stood straight up, for that very passage was Chapter 9 Verse 11. 911 from her has been no coincidence. I don’t know how I’ve gotten to this point in my life, (her wonderful influence has been huge) but I am well aware of the events and experiences upon which I now draw from. And, I know we must and will succeed and prevail, as one people, against all odds, on this dear and great planet which GOD bequeathed us. These will indeed become the times which will TRY men’s souls. And sisters of the sun. So Rock me on the water and this time, after much learning and consideration, I am on the Bridge to stay, as did the historically time honored, HORATIO at the Bridge. It is time we took possession and control of what is duly ours. That would be our lives, our fortunes and our sacred HONOR. And our home, TERRA FIRMA, Once again and forever. Seems like after one writes an article, he/she remembers one nugget that is forgotten to include, which allows the story go full circle. Well, here’s mine. As I mentioned, both BUSH#41 and BUSH#43 were members of Skull and Bones. The point is, they undoubtedly considered their oath to the SKULL and BONES Society much more sacred than their oath of allegiance to PRESERVE and PROTECT the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA as Commander and Chief! Nuff said.

NINE-ONE-ONE
9 1 1
“Whoa people, look around you. The signs are everywhere.
You’ve left it for somebody other than you to be the ones’ to care!”.
Jackson Browne sings this in ROCK ME ON THE WATER. I named my son after him. And that is just what I thought of on September 11th. How could something like this, that terrible, happen in and to AMERICA? The fact is it did and for me, I was enduring my own personal sadness as well. What I was experiencing personally was devastating enough, but for a national/world wide event seemingly only comparable to JFK’s assassination or the Challenger shuttle loss to coincide with it, well it was almost too much to deal with. I’ve often joked that had I read the brochure on this planet before I dropped in, I probably would have passed it by. On 9/11, I really did feel like moving on. I mean I felt the kind of irony and despair one should not have to feel. Thankfully, spontaneous recovery was still available and I survive to rationalize (give hope?) all that has transpired. Now… I relate my personal loss of that day/week with Robert W. Service’ DANGEROUS DAN MACGREW saying “ You felt that your life had been looted clean of all that it once held dear…..that your guts were gone and the best for you was to crawl away and die!”. On a national scale, I likened it to John Prine singing, “Christ I’m so mixed up and lonely, I can’t even make friends with my brain. I’m too young to be where I’m going and too old to go back again”.
Our new national DAY OF INFAMY was a terrorist attack in country. Something we were warned of, yet simultaneously told would not happen. This is in light of at least three separate Congressional studies that have warned of specific danger here at home. Terrorism is the only means available to those who believe they are completely shut out of the process. Any and all. Terrorism has historically had some outrageous roots and with strange bedfellows. In our very own American Revolution, our Minutemen sniped to death thousands of men Britain sent to preserve her Colonies! Israel had a military unit called the Irgun before it was politically expedient to be supported and recognized as a state. Northern Ireland has the IRA. Ironically, all had issue with Britain. Non-the-less how does one compare and contrast these groups as more acceptable than say Osama Bin Laden and the like? Get me right on this. American I am and grateful to be, by birth. I support Israel as a state and a unified “troubles” free Ireland. And I denounce violence (as opposed to force) at every level. (And these days brother, with road rage and those who speed up to the next red light, that’s not an easy proposition!) In the United States, our Founding Fathers (remember them? Those were the guys who lived the creed, “Our lives, Our fortunes and Our sacred honor” were smart enough to include a provision in the Constitution about freedom of speech, assembly etc…so that when our system excluded one or more unjustly, they would have an avenue of redress of grievance called PROTEST. Not that all Americans live within these parameters, but the rest of the world does not have the guarantee.
I grew up in a time that great hope fought the good fight against big despair. As a child I played in the same snow that JFK gave his Inaugural speech in. Remember “Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike…” and “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country!”. As kids, when we skipped school, we went downtown (Washington D.C., my birth place also. Thank you.) and looked at the monuments and I can’t tell how many times I stood in front of THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE and THE CONSTITUTION and read them. I can tell you that I signed a copy once or twice when it was passed around in class!
-2-
Hey! It will happen if it can. Anyway, I took this democratic heritage seriously (for granted?) and was proud and I thought, patriotic. As in, my freedom ends where your safety (not comfort) begins and “I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to my death, your right to say it!”. Protest does not exclude whatever zealotry (either antagonistic or patriotic) might bellow. The Supreme Court defines the limiting concept as a “clear and present danger” and likened it to yelling fire in a movie theater. It does exclude urging and supporting violence. On June 10th 1963, JFK gave a televised address at American University on the first missile Test Ban Treaty. In it he said, “We all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children’s futures’ and …we are all mortal!”. Maturing in this era gave us a first hand experience of the heritage of our continual struggle toward a more perfect democracy. Not only did we survive the Cuban Missile Crisis, but we prevailed for the better part, in other areas like Civil Rights (remember the Freedom Riders?) and gender rights etc…
I trust you see what I am getting at. Many of us bought into the great concept of freedom as a right and not a privilege. Most of us did not understand it should be a participatory democracy, not just representative and that the concept of relentless vigilance should accompany our views and efforts to preserve and protect it from erosion. That same view often equates patriotism with citizenship. In my world, patriotism is an earned badge of honor. Citizenship is a responsibility and an obligation. If all of this sounds kind of high falootin’, it shouldn’t. It’s really a combination of 9th grade Civics, 10th grade Literature and 12th grade English Composition. The only reason I write on it is because I don’t hear or read anywhere else these basic tenets of which our society is built upon. Why not?
Hell, I don’t know. I don’t have all the answers. I don’t even have all of the questions! Last night President Bush spoke in Atlanta and said something to the effect that the other countries of the world perceive Americans to be self indulgent, consumption minded, acquisition oriented and short on attention to details of their government. He then said that is not true. Well, you be the judge. But when is the last time you heard an American President tell you what you needed to hear rather than what you wanted to hear? I would have preferred to hear him say that America is the world’s truest test of democracy yet and it is pass or fail at that. More so, that our success is so important to our planet that the future of freedom and liberty hang in its balance. Furthermore, I would say we should have been told that on September 11th, our government institutions once again failed us and that we are all responsible. Ultimately, if we are to prevent anymore or worse, of the cruel and terrible realities of that day from re-occurring, it will take a united national consciousness. That’s what I would like to hear from those in so important a position.
Just what happened to a generation of people who were inspired by things like, “We go to the moon, we go the moon in this decade and we do the other things’! Not because they are easy, but because they are hard!”. Weren’t we sure back in the late sixties, we’ be on Mars by 2001 with a lunar base and World peace to boot? Hunger would be gone, the population explosion halted, fatal disease eliminated, equality in human rights and on and on and….Surely we are capable of such simplistic matters and concerns? Aren’t we? Capable, yes. Committed, no. The great hope was countered by the big despair- one of political assassinations, Vietnam, Watergate and Cold War. Tell ME that if JFK’s assassination had been investigated like Watergate, with open Senate hearings, our nation wouldn’t have been told the truth and we wouldn’t all be the better for it? Tell me if people understood Vietnam was a French colony exporting opium and the liberated France
-3-
had asked us to help them regain their colony in the name of defeating communism we would have fought a war there?! Tell me about why a second coming of Richard Nixon was allowed with his “secret plan” to end the war in Vietnam? Revisionism isn’t. Reality is and it comes out only slowly and in bits and pieces. You might consider that what is suppose to be recorded history is not always the reality of the event(s) but more often the politically expedient crafted version of that period. Yeah, I know. If only we didn’t know now what we didn’t know then! How about one more that’s like? Free trade with China but none with Cuba! Who really is the big threat or is it…who has a legion of re-criminative exiles as constituents? Oh, does that sting or what? A lot of us recognize some of this and some of us know a lot of the above, but most all of us are not sure how to avoid more of the same, only worse. As a nation, our people have been side tracked by and inculcated in, the Big Lie and the requirement/desire/necessity (?) to acquire and consume. We have been finessed, cajoled, placated, seduced, bribed, appeased, manipulated, mollified…you name it…just to divert our attention from those things really important. Add drugs and booze then finagle and confuse! The consequences of our collective abdication from responsible vigilance are becoming an increasingly unpleasant and imminently dangerous legacy. Just understand that those who are dedicated to wrong have no compunction when it comes to full filling their agenda(s). Does the term helplessness come to mind? The arrogance of power and the ignorance of automation (what happened to HUMAN plan B?) are gradually eroding our individual confidence and making each and everyone of us feel less and less significant. Even though I dwell in the “land of the free and the home of the brave” and “all men (and women) are created equal!”, I sometimes have to remind myself as a U.S. citizen, I still am as important as the next person.
“If a nation thinks it can be both ignorant and free,
It never was and certainly never will be!” (Unk. maybe T.J.)
Of all of what I am discussing (my opinion), I am reminded of what an esteemed U.S. History professor at my alma mater, TESTUDO U. once told me back in the 70’s. He said that in his opinion, it was too late, at that juncture, to turn things around so we could guarantee the human race could succeed itself! Hey! I’m not Chicken Little but….this most advanced effort democracy has evolved to is being stulted. For those of you in the dumb down generation, it means we’re stalled and we can not afford to stall because that is precipitating the harbinger of complete failure!
This failure as I perceive it, is as fundamental as Frank Capra’s original anti-hero John Doe. Frank Capra made a number of fine films years ago, dealing with government, society and the human spirit. MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE and MEET JOHN DOE were among his credits. JOHN DOE was the ole pegaroo as he was created in a last article by a laid off newspaper woman (Barbara Stanwyck). She claimed she received a letter signed John Doe, who was tired of civilizations’ inhumanity toward his fellow man. Consequently, he was going to protest the condition of society by jumping off the state building at midnight Christmas Eve! The reaction to the article was so favorable that it saved her job because the newspaper had to come up with a real John Doe to give speeches (save face?). Gary Cooper gives a high noon performance in gradually becoming the real McCoy. Well, the way I see it there are a lot of Americans who feel the same way. I mean if jumping off a building or a bridge were the simple answer to making things right, there would be long lines…because I still believe when it comes down to it, we really do love our country and cherish our freedom and our special place in the history of the world (herstory? Well whosever story it is…) and we would just like to know how to

continue making it more of a success and preserve it for our posterity! We know enunciating this desire by singing the National Anthem or partying on Memorial Day or the 4th of July makes us feel good. But it just doesn’t achieve what we know is necessary. We still like the rattle of the saber, the sensation of the cavalry charge and the ubiquitous satisfaction of raising the Stars and Stripes. Because deep down inside, we remember our nation is suppose to be about peace and truth and justice and charity for all and this American experiment is the hope of the world. But it appears we are not only failing them, but ourselves as well. Miserably.
Does it have to be this way? Is it really inevitable? What can we do to turn it around? My answer is a return to the fundamentals of the foundation upon which our society is based. It has been said that in a democracy people generally get the kind of government they deserve. Suppose…Let’s just say what if?; What if we had laws about truth in advertising? What if we had federally limited and supplied campaign funds for all representation? What if we did not allow lobbyists to give any type of political contributions at all, accompanied with stiff penalty? What if we demanded more truth from our government? What if education was our main funding priority to every American and the Criminal Justice System was revamped to vastly eliminate recidivism and increase re-habilitation? And what if we established by mutual interest, the true test of patriotism as influencing people to view and review the actions of their representation in such ways as to make the like of such as directly responsible to these stated needs and desires as humanly possible? What if we established space exploration on a world wide scale of participation and recognized the economic benefits from such a collective venture? JOBS. What if,…..this is where you, if you are still reading, insert your own idea that would be of a positive national consequence. Yeah what if? Suppose vigilance and participation increased to the point where it was possible/plausible for God to bless America again? Dreams, right? Just what this country was built on!

Quick quiz here: How many of you caught that I left out the PLO in the beginning? MmmHmmm!
Well, I also believe the Palestinians have a right to a homeland. But I can’t put down everything I think. This is, after all, about terrorism and what we all should perhaps think- or at least consider in the overall scheme of things. Obviously, terrorism and violence must be met with force and dispatched quickly. But as history has taught, when you create a vacuum or void, you must be careful to fill it or that which the effort you are trying to rid, will reappear in aberration and worse. The world community must consider the why’s and needs of the issue that manifested the original monster and find acceptable resolution for all concerned. I raised my kids on the concept that if one looks long enough you can find at least one acceptable solution to any and all problems. Patience, diligence, persistence, knowledge of the issue and genuine concern are temporal ingredients necessary in this formula; but they do work. Anything less than a shared responsibility that leads to inclusion in the process which precipitated the violence, will fall short.
My expounding on what I term fundamental civic virtues must end but I am going to address three different levels for closing. The first influence would be for those who would be in government. I quote from H. Frank Wright from his book entitled LIBERTY IN THE BALANCE; “The exercise of liberty does not require that all of the participants be gentlemen. It does however, require that
-5-
each participant recognize his adversary as a man. Liberty entitles one to hold a position firmly and feverently in the face of prevailing opinion. It does not entitle one to become a political gladiator. Liberty cannot survive in an arena of hate. It can only survive where the actions of man are broadened by the horizons of humanity.”
The second level would be an appeal to our national consciousness, individually as well as a whole and addressing adversity in the same sentence as social responsibility. The quote is purposefully left un-credited. “To be courageous…requires no exceptional qualifications, no magic formula, no special combination of time, place and circumstance. It is an opportunity sooner or later that is presented to us all…In whatever arena of life one may meet the challenge of courage, whatever may be the sacrifices he faces, if he follows his conscience-the loss of friends, his fortune, his contentment, even the esteem of his fellow men-each man must decide for himself the course he will follow. Stories of past courage can define the ingredient…but they cannot supply courage (read heart) itself. For this each man must look into his own soul.”
The third level is on a more personal note. At the end of MEET JOHN DOE, John Doe has been exposed for the true fake he is. By now, he has come to embrace the concerns initially attributed to him and finds himself on the building top Christmas Eve. It turns out that his genuineness has been convincing enough for the bad guys and some of the good people to still believe he will be there anyway! Stopping him at the very last is the female protagonist (in a convoluted way). She tells him she loves him and that he has come to embody all of what she wrote and then pleads with him that, “If its worth dying for, then it’s worth living for!”. I think this concept goes right to the heart of the matter here and with all. If it is worth dying-suicide, terrorism or martyrdom etc.-then why can’t it be worth living for? Life is a struggle. “Photographs, show the laughs recorded in between the bad times, happy sailors dancing on a sinking ship…” More John Prine. We’ve come too far and spent so much of the human blood and flesh and spirit to surrender at a point where we can see success possible. Think how many of our ancestors toiled and struggled, not to mention fought and suffered and were tortured and died for us, their children, grandchildren, great grand….ad infinitum. Not to mention the fact most probably never traveled five miles further than their birth place, never drank Coca-cola, never had a Big Mac, or had indoor plumbing or air conditioning or drove their own (a) car or smoked or had a cold beer, or, or… any of the luxuries or common materials that are part of our daily life, which we take for granted. Who are we that we could feel comfortable in abdicating from the responsibility to guarantee the continuation of which all who have come before have us bequeathed to us, with their last full and final measure? Myself? I cannot imagine humankind, especially we Americans, presiding over this dreaded decline/demise and remain quiet and inactive. I believe it is time for the dedicated right to influence the needed effort. Can we afford to go quietly… considering the alternative? Yeah, you answer me that one or if you can’t or you won’t, maybe I should say, “See you at the bridge!”. For now though…

REASON AND FREE INQUIRY
I have researched and written four articles to date about political expediency and the agenda of those dedicated wrong shaping our National History. I try and document all I discuss and how to follow the topic up. Research is like fishing in that if you are patient, one catch leads to another with linkage. Buried deep away is what I believe to be the most important speech made in the free world as truth speaking to power. In a true democracy, truth to power would be the citizenry speaking to the Government. However after the Bay of Pigs debacle, of which President Kennedy publicly took full responsibility of the invasion's failure, he grew aware that the plot had been hatched by the Nixon (with or without Ike's knowledge) and would require major U.S. involvement. This aspect was only sprung upon him as the operation was in motion with the organizers believing JFK would have no choice but to supply all military and diplomatic help required for a successful coup. By all accounts written in post mortem books by his inner staff, there is concurrence of this surprise. Unable to defend himself post mortem, JFK has been slammed with much disinformation creating a confliction of real truth and deed. As for his learning curve which for the life of me, why did he not recognize this very secretive and powerful group would certainly do what ever was necessary to preserve and protect their collective interests to include Executive Action (the spook term for assassination of a head of state). Obviously, in his direct appeal to our nation's jouranlists and publications, JFK was referencing Operation Mockingbird and its omnipotent control of the flow of truth. Why he could not or would refuse to see a Dealy Plaza (which had the century previous been a territory for shootouts like Deadwood) in his path will remain a paradoxical mystery in light of this incredibly courageous speech so early in his Presidency. I have included it in its entirety within this article for what part, as one reads it, could possibly be edited? The President and the Press: Address before the American Newspaper Publishers AssociationPresident John F. KennedyWaldorf-Astoria HotelNew York City, April 27, 1961Listen to this speechMr. Chairman, ladies and gentlemen:I appreciate very much your generous invitation to be here tonight. You bear heavy responsibilities these days and an article I read some time ago reminded me of how particularly heavily the burdens of present day events bear upon your profession. You may remember that in 1851 the New York Herald Tribune under the sponsorship and publishing of Horace Greeley, employed as its London correspondent an obscure journalist by the name of Karl Marx.We are told that foreign correspondent Marx, stone broke, and with a family ill and undernourished, constantly appealed to Greeley and managing editor Charles Dana for an increase in his munificent salary of $5 per installment, a salary which he and Engels ungratefully labeled as the "lousiest petty bourgeois cheating."But when all his financial appeals were refused, Marx looked around for other means of livelihood and fame, eventually terminating his relationship with the Tribune and devoting his talents full time to the cause that would bequeath the world the seeds of Leninism, Stalinism, revolution and the cold war.If only this capitalistic New York newspaper had treated him more kindly; if only Marx had remained a foreign correspondent, history might have been different. And I hope all publishers will bear this lesson in mind the next time they receive a poverty-stricken appeal for a small increase in the expense account from an obscure newspaper man.I have selected as the title of my remarks tonight "The President and the Press." Some may suggest that this would be more naturally worded "The President Versus the Press." But those are not my sentiments tonight. It is true, however, that when a well-known diplomat from another country demanded recently that our State Department repudiate certain newspaper attacks on his colleague it was unnecessary for us to reply that this Administration was not responsible for the press, for the press had already made it clear that it was not responsible for this Administration.Nevertheless, my purpose here tonight is not to deliver the usual assault on the so-called one party press. On the contrary, in recent months I have rarely heard any complaints about political bias in the press except from a few Republicans. Nor is it my purpose tonight to discuss or defend the televising of Presidential press conferences. I think it is highly beneficial to have some 20,000,000 Americans regularly sit in on these conferences to observe, if I may say so, the incisive, the intelligent and the courteous qualities displayed by your Washington correspondents.Nor, finally, are these remarks intended to examine the proper degree of privacy which the press should allow to any President and his family. If in the last few months your White House reporters and photographers have been attending church services with regularity, that has surely done them no harm.On the other hand, I realize that your staff and wire service photographers may be complaining that they do not enjoy the same green privileges at the local golf courses that they once did.It is true that my predecessor did not object as I do to pictures of one's golfing skill in action. But neither on the other hand did he ever bean a Secret Service man.My topic tonight is a more sober one of concern to publishers as well as editors.I want to talk about our common responsibilities in the face of a common danger. The events of recent weeks may have helped to illuminate that challenge for some; but the dimensions of its threat have loomed large on the horizon for many years. Whatever our hopes may be for the future--for reducing this threat or living with it--there is no escaping either the gravity or the totality of its challenge to our survival and to our security--a challenge that confronts us in unaccustomed ways in every sphere of human activity. This deadly challenge imposes upon our society two requirements of direct concern both to the press and to the President--two requirements that may seem almost contradictory in tone, but which must be reconciled and fulfilled if we are to meet this national peril. I refer, first, to the need for a far greater public information; and, second, to the need for far greater official secrecy.IThe very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know. But I do ask every publisher, every editor, and every newsman in the nation to reexamine his own standards, and to recognize the nature of our country's peril. In time of war, the government and the press have customarily joined in an effort based largely on self-discipline, to prevent unauthorized disclosures to the enemy. In time of "clear and present danger," the courts have held that even the privileged rights of the First Amendment must yield to the public's need for national security.Today no war has been declared--and however fierce the struggle may be, it may never be declared in the traditional fashion. Our way of life is under attack. Those who make themselves our enemy are advancing around the globe. The survival of our friends is in danger. And yet no war has been declared, no borders have been crossed by marching troops, no missiles have been fired. If the press is awaiting a declaration of war before it imposes the self-discipline of combat conditions, then I can only say that no war ever posed a greater threat to our security. If you are awaiting a finding of "clear and present danger," then I can only say that the danger has never been more clear and its presence has never been more imminent. It requires a change in outlook, a change in tactics, a change in missions--by the government, by the people, by every businessman or labor leader, and by every newspaper. For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed. It conducts the Cold War, in short, with a war-time discipline no democracy would ever hope or wish to match.Nevertheless, every democracy recognizes the necessary restraints of national security--and the question remains whether those restraints need to be more strictly observed if we are to oppose this kind of attack as well as outright invasion. For the facts of the matter are that this nation's foes have openly boasted of acquiring through our newspapers information they would otherwise hire agents to acquire through theft, bribery or espionage; that details of this nation's covert preparations to counter the enemy's covert operations have been available to every newspaper reader, friend and foe alike; that the size, the strength, the location and the nature of our forces and weapons, and our plans and strategy for their use, have all been pinpointed in the press and other news media to a degree sufficient to satisfy any foreign power; and that, in at least in one case, the publication of details concerning a secret mechanism whereby satellites were followed required its alteration at the expense of considerable time and money. The newspapers which printed these stories were loyal, patriotic, responsible and well-meaning. Had we been engaged in open warfare, they undoubtedly would not have published such items. But in the absence of open warfare, they recognized only the tests of journalism and not the tests of national security. And my question tonight is whether additional tests should not now be adopted. The question is for you alone to answer. No public official should answer it for you. No governmental plan should impose its restraints against your will. But I would be failing in my duty to the nation, in considering all of the responsibilities that we now bear and all of the means at hand to meet those responsibilities, if I did not commend this problem to your attention, and urge its thoughtful consideration. On many earlier occasions, I have said--and your newspapers have constantly said--that these are times that appeal to every citizen's sense of sacrifice and self-discipline. They call out to every citizen to weigh his rights and comforts against his obligations to the common good. I cannot now believe that those citizens who serve in the newspaper business consider themselves exempt from that appeal.I have no intention of establishing a new Office of War Information to govern the flow of news. I am not suggesting any new forms of censorship or any new types of security classifications. I have no easy answer to the dilemma that I have posed, and would not seek to impose it if I had one. But I am asking the members of the newspaper profession and the industry in this country to reexamine their own responsibilities, to consider the degree and the nature of the present danger, and to heed the duty of self-restraint which that danger imposes upon us all.Every newspaper now asks itself, with respect to every story: "Is it news?" All I suggest is that you add the question: "Is it in the interest of the national security?" And I hope that every group in America--unions and businessmen and public officials at every level-- will ask the same question of their endeavors, and subject their actions to the same exacting tests. And should the press of America consider and recommend the voluntary assumption of specific new steps or machinery, I can assure you that we will cooperate whole-heartedly with those recommendations.Perhaps there will be no recommendations. Perhaps there is no answer to the dilemma faced by a free and open society in a cold and secret war. In times of peace, any discussion of this subject, and any action that results, are both painful and without precedent. But this is a time of peace and peril which knows no precedent in history.IIIt is the unprecedented nature of this challenge that also gives rise to your second obligation--an obligation which I share. And that is our obligation to inform and alert the American people--to make certain that they possess all the facts that they need, and understand them as well--the perils, the prospects, the purposes of our program and the choices that we face.No President should fear public scrutiny of his program. For from that scrutiny comes understanding; and from that understanding comes support or opposition. And both are necessary. I am not asking your newspapers to support the Administration, but I am asking your help in the tremendous task of informing and alerting the American people. For I have complete confidence in the response and dedication of our citizens whenever they are fully informed.I not only could not stifle controversy among your readers--I welcome it. This Administration intends to be candid about its errors; for as a wise man once said: "An error does not become a mistake until you refuse to correct it." We intend to accept full responsibility for our errors; and we expect you to point them out when we miss them.Without debate, without criticism, no Administration and no country can succeed--and no republic can survive. That is why the Athenian lawmaker Solon decreed it a crime for any citizen to shrink from controversy. And that is why our press was protected by the First Amendment-- the only business in America specifically protected by the Constitution- -not primarily to amuse and entertain, not to emphasize the trivial and the sentimental, not to simply "give the public what it wants"--but to inform, to arouse, to reflect, to state our dangers and our opportunities, to indicate our crises and our choices, to lead, mold, educate and sometimes even anger public opinion. This means greater coverage and analysis of international news--for it is no longer far away and foreign but close at hand and local. It means greater attention to improved understanding of the news as well as improved transmission. And it means, finally, that government at all levels, must meet its obligation to provide you with the fullest possible information outside the narrowest limits of national security--and we intend to do it.IIIIt was early in the Seventeenth Century that Francis Bacon remarked on three recent inventions already transforming the world: the compass, gunpowder and the printing press. Now the links between the nations first forged by the compass have made us all citizens of the world, the hopes and threats of one becoming the hopes and threats of us all. In that one world's efforts to live together, the evolution of gunpowder to its ultimate limit has warned mankind of the terrible consequences of failure. And so it is to the printing press--to the recorder of man's deeds, the keeper of his conscience, the courier of his news--that we look for strength and assistance, confident that with your help man will be what he was born to be: free and independent. END OF SPEECH When I first heard the oral excerpt, I immediately sought the body as whole. And, "I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility toward all forms of tyranny over the minds of men (and women)". I believe JFK was aware of much of the secret society's agenda and their contact with the alien presence and I believe he sought to make it public over a period of time. This may not have been such a good idea then as I have no way to judge such daring, but certainly he could have been reasoned with and included in the process, rather than terminated. I gather this just from reading the inferences raised in his words.
